About the Role
Our Edmonton Client is looking for Junior Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk. Starting with a 4 month contract to extend permanently based on performance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a highly collaborative team and needs to have proven strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Title: Accounts Receivable / Collections Clerk
Term: Contract to Permanent (4 month Probation)
Schedule: 5 days in office, 8:00AM - 4:00PM
Compensation: $24-25/hour
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
Day to Day Activities
Manage and collect on overdue and over-limit customer accounts
Conduct daily collection calls and follow-ups via phone and email
Open new customer accounts, including credit checks and approvals
Process incoming payments as needed
Resolve customer payment issues and discrepancies
Collaborate closely with Sales on account status and collections
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
Collections & Customer Interaction
Portfolio of up to ~1,000 customer accounts
Daily collections activity is a core function of the role
Regular communication via:
Phone
Email
Payment Processing
Support payment processing (training provided)
Less than 10 payments processed daily
Payment methods include:
Cheque
Credit Card
EFT
E-Transfer
Payment values range from $100 to $50,000
Reporting & Month-End
Generate A/R aging reports (daily/as needed)
Assist with payment posting to support month-end close
Work alongside Sales, who also access reporting

Familiar with Costar and MS Excel
Hardworking and reliable
Easy-going personality with a team-oriented mindset
Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced office environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to manage high-volume accounts and maintain professionalism
