Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager

An Edmonton client is searching for an Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager to join their team.

Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager Highlights:

Overview: As an Outside Sales Representative/Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for finding and strategically developing new accounts and business opportunities in the southern Alberta region. You will work closely with existing accounts and customer service while actively pursuing new leads and fostering relationships to drive revenue growth.

·         Responsibilities:

·         Find and strategically develop new accounts and business opportunities for the Company, particularly in the southern Alberta area.

·         Identify potential leads and conduct research to qualify leads effectively.

·         Make 15-20 calls per week to generate new business opportunities.

·         Utilize tools such as Sales Genie, LinkedIn, Google, and industry-specific websites to generate leads and referrals.

·         Work with cross-functional groups within target customer organizations, such as marketing, sales, and product development.

·         Utilize the company's CRM system (Quote System) to track new quotes and follow up effectively.

·         Monitor market trends and competition to develop strategic business development plans.

·         Drive an industry-leading value proposition and product mix value.

·         Generate new business revenue to meet or exceed established targets.

·         Establish profitable business within targeted market segments.

·         Maintain and expand business with assigned existing accounts.

·         Sales Operations:

·         Prepare proposals and presentations to support the sales process.

·         Provide regular reports on all progress related to business development.

·         Sales Meetings and Industry Involvement:

·         Participate in regular sales meetings, either in person or via video/phone conference.

·         Attend industry trade shows as necessary.

·         Education and Experience:

·         A degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.

·         8-10 years or more experience in sales and/or business development, preferably within the flexible packaging or manufacturing industry.

·         Skills:

·         Exceptional relationship-building skills.

·         Self-driven, innovative, and resourceful.

·         Professional and polished demeanor.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Reporting Structure and Support:

·         Participate in training sessions and shadowing opportunities.

Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager Hours & Wage

·         8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

·         $85,000/year
