Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager


An Edmonton client is searching for Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager to join their team.

Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager Highlights:

·         New Business Development:

·         Strategically develop new accounts and business opportunities for the Company.

·         Utilize Sales Genie system, LinkedIn, Google, and other research tools to generate leads.

·         Make 15-20 calls per week to qualify leads and nurture continuous business growth.

·         Receive a 1.5% commission on receivables for new business without a threshold.

·         Client Relationship Management:

·         Identify and approach various levels within a target customer’s organization.

·         Work with cross-functional groups such as marketing, sales, and product development.

·         Monitor and manage client engagements, meeting budget and reporting deadlines.

·         Market and Industry Analysis:

·         Monitor the market and industry trends to determine strategic business development plans.

·         Participate in monthly overview meetings to analyze month-over-month and year-over-year data.

·         Develop and maintain relationships with clients in diverse industries, including food, industrial, and distributors.

·         Long-Term Value Creation:

·         Deliver high-level customer service, understanding and addressing client needs.

·         Develop long-term value by being a solution-driven, good listener, and effective communicator.

·         Create a strong value proposition and product mix to drive industry-leading offerings.

·         Revenue Generation and Targets:

·         Generate new business revenue to meet or exceed established business development targets.

·         Establish new profitable business within targeted market segments.

·         Maintain and expand business with assigned existing accounts.

·         Sales Operations:

·         Prepare proposals and presentations to support the sales process.

·         Provide regular reports on progress related to business development.

·         Sales Meetings and Trade Shows:

·         Participate in regular sales meetings, either in person or via video/phone conference.

·         Attend industry trade shows as necessary.

·         Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.

·         8-10 years or more experience in sales and/or business development, preferably in flexible packaging or manufacturing.

·         Skills:

·         Exceptional relationship-building skills.

·         Self-driven, self-motivated, and innovative.

·         Professional and polished with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Outside Sales Rep/Business Development Manager Hours & Wage: 

·         $60,000 to 75,000

·         Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
