SAP Financial Administrator
About:
A newly independent organization preparing for a public listing is seeking an SAP Financial Administrator to lead the transition from SAP BPC to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). This role bridges Finance and IT, offering the opportunity to own SAC administration, automate reporting, and serve as the go-to SAC expert for the finance function.
Start Date: As soon as the right candidate is selected
Hours: Monday–Friday, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Reports To: Director of Finance | Stakeholders: CFO, FP&A, North American SAC team
Key Responsibilities
SAC Reporting Leadership
Convert all legacy reports from SAP BPC to SAC within the first quarter, ensuring full rebuild and standardization of dashboards aligned with business unit structures.
Design and deliver custom reports and dashboards measuring KPIs such as Forecast vs. Actuals, Inventory Counts, Fleet & Manpower Costs, Downtime, and CAPEX.
Serve as the local SAC Subject Matter Expert, with a core focus on optimizing and maintaining the tool, rather than ground-up system build.
Technical Reporting & Automation
Build and automate 10–15 custom SAC reports within the first six months, reducing manual Excel dependencies across the team.
Integrate SAC Excel Add-in to enable dynamic reporting views, contributing to 30–40% time savings in month-end reporting cycles.
Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and partner with external development teams to escalate complex system issues.
Training & User Enablement
Deliver SAC training to a group of 6–10 non-technical finance users, ensuring full onboarding and tool adoption.
Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day SAC questions, report updates, and dashboard troubleshooting.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting Vision
Act as liaison between local finance teams and North American developers to ensure reports meet both global standards and localized needs.
Translate business reporting goals into technical execution, balancing standardization with flexibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Financial Acumen
Work closely with FP&A to ensure alignment of reporting with P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, EBITDA, and mid-term planning metrics.
Support KPI tracking across departments—finance, commercial, and operations—particularly around production metrics, variance analysis, and sustainability.
Maintain oversight of SAC report integrity through validation checks and version control processes.
Performance Benchmarks
3 months: Stabilize reporting views within new business unit structure and begin SAC training for key users.
6 months: Complete transition from BPC to SAC; automate manual reports; reduce ad hoc report requests by 50%.
12 months: Demonstrate efficiency gains in reporting cycles, accelerate month-end close timelines, and drive proactive data analysis across business units.
Qualifications
5+ years in financial reporting, FP&A systems, or business analytics with hands-on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) experience.
Proven experience building SAC dashboards, automating reports, and using the SAC Excel Add-in for custom development.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business value.
Advanced Excel skills required (PivotTables, formulas, data linking); familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik is a plus.
Degree or diploma in Business, Financial Systems, Data Science, or Information Technology.
No CPA or SAP certification required, but solid understanding of finance is essential.
Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors preferred for faster business process onboarding.
