An Edmonton client is searching for a Director of Finance And Operations to join their team.
Director of Finance And Operations Highlights:
· Overview: As the Director of Finance And Operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading financial planning and analysis. You will provide strategic support to senior leadership, drive budgeting, planning, and competitive analysis, and develop reporting packages, financial models, and valuations. We are seeking a highly experienced individual with a strong background in financial management, significant international exposure, and proven leadership skills to manage a high-performing team of Financial Analysts.
· Responsibilities:
· Lead financial planning and analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
· Provide strategic support to senior leadership, including analysis of business performance, identification of growth opportunities, and evaluation of strategic initiatives.
· Drive budgeting, planning, and competitive analysis processes to ensure alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
· Develop reporting packages, financial models, and valuations to support decision-making and provide insights into business performance.
· Collaborate with regional finance leaders to ensure consistency and alignment in financial reporting and analysis.
· Optimize processes and implement efficiency improvements to enhance the effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.
· Manage a high-performing team of 4 Financial Analysts, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
· Requirements:
· 10+ years of experience in a large company, preferably with significant international exposure, in roles related to financial planning and analysis.
· 7+ years of experience leading large teams, with a demonstrated track record of success in team management and development.
· Professional designation such as CPA, CFA; MBA is preferred.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
· Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
