Intermediate Process Engineer

An Edmonton client is searching for an Intermediate Process Engineer to join their team.

Intermediate Process Engineer Highlights:

·         Conduct modeling, simulations, and calculations of various process units.

·         Generate project documents, including datasheets, and control documentation such as narratives, shutdown keys, alarm, and setpoint lists.

·         Prepare detailed simulations of plant processes for bidding and project purposes.

·         Create start-up and operating manuals.

·         Prepare and review project deliverables, including project design criteria, design basis, and process specifications.

·         Develop and stamp key design documents like Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Shutdown Keys.

·         Size control valves, pressure safety valves (PSVs), and flare systems.

·         Size equipment, piping, safety and control instruments, and prepare datasheets.

·         Develop process control and safety design philosophies.

·         Review specifications to support bids or successful project execution.

·         Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) meetings.

·         Collaborate with clients and vendors.

·         Requirements:

·         Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in gas processing or related manufacturing.

·         Proficiency in process engineering tools and methods such as Symmetry, Aspen Hysys, Promax, Aspen EDR, and Aspen Flare.

·         Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.

·         Mandatory registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.).

·         Working knowledge and hands-on experience in process engineering aspects of gas processing industries.

·         Proficient in developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), equipment sizing, control valve/ relief valve sizing, Process, and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).

·         08:30 AM to 05:00 PM – Monday to Friday
