Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

An Edmonton client is searching for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

Intermediate Mechanical Engineer Highlights:

·         Provide support to Project Engineers/Managers, Drafting, Quality Assurance Department and Shop/Fabrication, ensuring correct development of drawings and calculations related to vessels, piping and related systems.

·         Prepare and/or review design packages to be submitted to local authorities for the purposes of obtaining a CRN for pressure vessels and pressure piping systems.

·         Welding procedure development and implementation.

·         Participate in ABSA and ASME audits, certification, and/or renewals. 

·         Interpret and provide advice regarding customer specifications, applicable laws, rules and regulations to all stakeholders.

·         Maintain applicable company specifications and standards.

·         Keeping current with industry trends, tools and innovations; providing suggestions and/or opportunities for continual improvement of company processes and procedures.

·         Perform other related work as required.
Proficient in mechanical equipment selection.

·         Proficient in assisting the development of Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), line schedules, etc.

·         Familiar with piping stress analysis.

·         Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3

·         Strong knowledge of A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry (preferably gas processing or manufacturing related).

·         Must have Experience with pumps, piping, vessels, tanks and heat exchangers.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited university

·         Registration as a P. Eng. is mandatory.

Intermediate Mechanical Engineer Hours & Wage

·         08:30 AM to 05:00 PM – Monday to Friday

·         $125,000/year
