Senior Project Coordinator

We are seeking a Senior Project Coordinator for our Edmonton client, a prominent general contractor in the construction industry. This role offers the opportunity to work on significant commercial projects and contribute to the growth of a respected company. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, based on experience. Benefits include employer-paid benefits, RRSP matching, and a potential bonus.

Responsibilities:
• Leading pre-construction activities, including proposal writing, budgeting, and design support
• Managing project teams, overseeing direct and indirect reports
• Providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, and skills development for team members
• Ensuring fiscal responsibility for projects and maintaining client/stakeholder relationships
• Contributing to operational improvement efforts within the company
• Guiding projects through the entire project lifecycle
• Collaborating within a dynamic and forward-thinking leadership team
• Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture
• Upholding a team-oriented and personable company culture
• Demonstrating strong leadership skills, risk management knowledge, and innovative thinking

Qualifications & Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in Canadian commercial construction, preferably with a recognized general contractor
• Demonstrated commitment and loyalty to employers, with a history of long-term positions
• Expertise in pre-construction, project management, and team leadership
• Proficiency in various systems, such as Viewpoint Vista, MS Project, Microsoft 360, e-compliance (Safety), and Quote to Me
• Strong grasp of contract law and risk management principles
• Versatile skill set spanning multiple construction areas
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities that contribute to collaborative teamwork
• 15-20 years of cumulative construction experience, with a preference for 20 years
• Experience managing complex projects and coordinating large teams
• University degree in construction, engineering, or related fields, or college diploma in construction technology
• Proficiency in Microsoft 360 applications (Excel, Office, Project) and Viewpoint by Vista

Hours/Compensation:
• Standard working hours (typically 8 am - 5 pm) with flexibility based on project needs
• Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
