Senior Tax Analyst

 

An Edmonton client is searching for a Senior Tax Analyst to join their team.

Senior Tax Analyst Highlights:

·         As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for managing domestic Canadian tax compliance, with a focus on corporate tax, T2 filings, T5013, and Quebec equivalents. Additionally, you will oversee compliance management, provide direction for legal entity provisions, and contribute to quarterly provisions and year-end reporting processes. We are seeking an experienced individual with expertise in Canadian tax regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage compliance and reporting requirements for a large portfolio of companies.

·         Responsibilities:

·         Manage domestic Canadian tax compliance, including corporate tax filings (T2), T5013, and Quebec tax requirements.

·         Provide direction for compliance management, including installments, legal entity provisions, and overall consolidation efforts.

·         Oversee quarterly provisions and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submissions.

·         Lead year-end reporting processes for a portfolio of 160 companies, including consolidation working papers, note disclosures, balance reporting, and effective tax rate calculations.

·         Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance and reporting requirements resulting from acquisitions and corporate reorganizations.

·         Stay informed about international tax regulations and support activities related to US tax compliance.

·         Assist with technical tax issues and provide support for new initiatives such as EFFIEL (OECD) compliance.

·         Work closely with team members and external advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting standards.

·         Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

·         CPA designation or equivalent certification.

·         Minimum of 4 years of experience in Canadian tax compliance, preferably in a corporate tax environment.

·         Strong understanding of Canadian tax regulations, including federal and provincial requirements.

·         Experience with international tax compliance and familiarity with US tax regulations.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite.

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Senior Tax Analyst Hours & Wage

·         8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

·         $80,000 - $100,000/Year
