Finance Manager
An Edmonton client is searching for a Finance Manager to join their team.
Finance Manager Highlights:
· Provide leadership within the finance group, focusing on the financial needs of two projects in the initial construction phase, each with a 30-year operational contract.
· Oversee project finances, including implementing controls and reporting procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
· Serve as the frontline for the corporate finance group, managing day-to-day accounting for the entities involved.
· Handle all monthly reporting, conduct variance analysis, and integrate financial reporting statements preparation and analysis.
· Manage the Corporate General Ledger (GL) Close process, meeting tight deadlines and an aggressive timeline.
· Focus on implementing systems and processes, setting up the accounting system, and generating reports to provide valuable insights during the first six months.
· Support corporate finance deliverables and foster relationships within the team.
· Utilize Oracle and Adaptive for budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activities, contributing to financial transformation due to an upcoming ERP upgrade.
· Objectives and Goals:
· Establish standardized processes with appropriate controls to support month-to-month operations as projects grow substantially.
· Focus on setting up robust processes to effectively support the team during the catch-up phase.
· Collaborate with other Business Units (BUs) such as the US Structure, including shared services functions like Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Human Resources (HR).
· Work closely with Edmonton Corporate Finance and Shared Services, as well as the Operational Team, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
· Experience in leading teams, providing guidance, performance coaching, and feedback, either in a corporate setting or other environments, is highly valued.
· CPA
· IFRS Reporting is preferred and US GAAP
· Revenue Recognition experience
· Working in large organizations

· 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM – Monday to Friday
· $103,000 - $158,000/year
