Production Manager
An Edmonton client is searching for a Production Manager to join their team.
Production Manager Highlights:
As a Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the production of custom metal projects, collaborating closely with pre-production, drafters, the management team, and production staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and on time while also preparing the team for the transition to a new facility within the next five years. We are seeking a dynamic individual with experience in custom metal, construction, or custom fabrication settings, who can lead by example, set boundaries, and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
· Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with pre-production, drafters, management team, and production staff to ensure smooth project execution.
· Manage sales timelines and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
· Set boundaries and align the production team to maximize efficiency and meet target deadlines.
· Lead by example, demonstrating respect for internal policies and fostering a culture of adherence to standards.
· Develop strategies to improve production processes and enhance overall efficiency.
· Prepare the production team for the transition to a new facility within the next five years.
· Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to excel in their roles.
· Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to balance priorities and keep all parties informed.
· Uphold high standards of quality and safety in all production activities.
· Act as a liaison between production staff and management, conveying feedback and addressing concerns as needed.
· Requirements:
· 4+ years of experience managing in a custom metal, construction, or custom fabrication setting.
· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to set boundaries and gain buy-in from the team.
· Outgoing personality and strategic thinker, able to navigate complex situations and find creative solutions.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
· Ability to balance competing priorities and inform various stakeholders to ensure alignment.
· Demonstrated track record of success in managing production teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Production Manager Hours & Wage
· 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
· $85,000 - $95,000/year
