Journeyman Electrician
An Edmonton client is searching for a Journeyman Electrician to join their team.
Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, service, and repair equipment within the facilities
• Work on 600 and 480-volt systems including motors, VFDs and associated controls
• Mentor and train assigned apprentices, as well as oversee work performed by maintenance technicians
• Perform on-call duties as scheduled and work rotating day shifts
• Operate within a COR certified plant that operates 24/7
Requirements:
• Apprenticeship certification and/or an inter-provincial Journeyman Electrician Trade Certificate
• Minimum of four years' related industry experience and completion of certification
• Experience with MP2 or similar computerized maintenance management system is considered an asset
• Previous experience in an industrial process plant environment
• Strong customer service attitude
• Attention to detail and ability to manage a diverse workload within a fast-paced environment
• Proven organizational and creative problem-solving skills
• Intermediate level computer skills, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to work assigned shifts and perform on-call duties as scheduled
• Able to complete all conditions of employment including negative alcohol and drug test, current clean Class 5 license, pre-employment medical, immunizations, and background check
Hours & Wage:
• Compensation is commensurate with experience.
• Rotating day shifts with on-call duties.
