Our client is seeking a Capital Equipment Technical Sales / Account Manager to join their team in a permanent position. This opportunity is ideal for a driven sales professional with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys developing new business while managing long-term customer relationships. The successful candidate will oversee an established territory throughout Western Canada, working closely with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend equipment solutions that improve productivity and efficiency.

Job Title: Capital Equipment Technical Sales / Account Manager

Term: Permanent

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Compensation: Six-figure earning potential, with earnings regularly exceeding $180,000 annually (excluding mileage reimbursement and other expense-related payouts)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Edmonton, AB

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory & Account Management

    • Manage an established sales territory across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

    • Focus primarily on Edmonton and surrounding areas with regular local travel.

    • Travel throughout Southern Alberta approximately 4–6 times annually and Saskatchewan/Manitoba 1–2 times per year as required.

    • Manage a portfolio of 100+ customer accounts.

    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with plant managers, maintenance teams, production personnel, and operational leaders.

  • Business Development

    • Prospect for new business opportunities within industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, and food & beverage markets.

    • Complete a minimum of 10 outbound sales calls each day.

    • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

    • Expand existing customer relationships while identifying new opportunities for growth.

  • Technical Sales & Customer Support

    • Prepare quotations, proposals, and customer presentations.

    • Conduct on-site product demonstrations.

    • Recommend equipment solutions that improve operational efficiency and productivity.

    • Collaborate with internal service and technical teams to ensure exceptional customer support before and after the sale.

  • Sales Administration

    • Maintain accurate customer records and sales opportunities within CRM software.

    • Track sales activities and manage customer documentation.

    • Provide timely follow-up throughout the sales process.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Required

    • Experience selling capital equipment or other tangible industrial products.

    • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical equipment.

    • Proven success developing new business through proactive prospecting.

    • Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or food & beverage industries.

    • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.

    • Valid driver's licence with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
